She found fame on the most recent winter series of Love Island in South Africa, with Tanyel Revan becoming a fiery fan-favourite, turning boys’ heads and forming strong female friendships.
After coupling up with the show’s eventual winner Kai Fagan and her best friend Ron Hall, she failed to find The One – but Tanyel, 27, is now happily loved-up with a new man. So much so, that she’s desperately hoping for marriage and babies with the businessman – whose name she’s keeping private – in the near future.
Tanyel says, “I didn’t find love on the show. I just genuinely didn’t fancy anyone in the end, I was so bored. I couldn’t wait to leave!
“When I came out of the villa, I bumped into someone who I used to see back in the day. And we just hit it off again! I think some guys just want to date a Love Island girl [after the show] but I knew this guy before, so I knew his intentions were good. He’s older and very much wants to settle down.
"I think that in the next year or two we could possibly be married and have babies! I’m really family orientated and want kids young. I do feel like he’ll propose soon – it had better be this year!”
Tanyel had a rocky ride in the villa as one of the first singletons to enter. The hair stylist seemed smitten with eventual winner Kai, 25, but when that fizzled out, she shocked viewers by choosing to couple up with best friend Ron, who was loved up with Lana Jenkins. But when she was dumped from the show on day 24, she strutted out of the villa with her head held high.
But Tanyel says being in the public eye has its pros and cons – including rumours she’d had cosmetic surgery. She says, “One [story] said I spent four and a half grand on my face going into the villa. I’m so honest and open about everything I’ve ever had done. My best friends [work] in aesthetics and beauty – one does Botox and the other does fillers – so I didn’t spend a penny! I’d actually dissolved my fillers and refilled my lips, as well as got semi-permanent make-up before the show. Those kinds of things came out about me, but I didn’t get any hate from trolls. My life has changed in a positive way, and I’ve not allowed it to be negative.”
After knowing what it’s like to go through the trials and tribulations of the villa, Tanyel says she has been glued to the current series. She says, “It’s well juicy! I love how honest they all are – I would have preferred that for my season.”
And now, Tanyel reveals that the guy who would have turned her head on the show is bombshell Zachariah Noble, 25, revealing, “I would definitely have picked Zach. He’s like the London boys I would have gone for. He’s got a bit of edge, he’s good looking and he’s not too clean cut. I like a bit of spice!”
