She jetted off on a sun-soaked getaway last month to Barbados with boyfriend Tommy Fury and five-month-old baby Bambi, and Molly-Mae Hague looked gorgeous as she lounged poolside in a white, gold-buttoned swimming costume.

Fans praised the Love Island star, 24, for her “authenticity” and “honesty” throughout her trip as she let viewers of her YouTube channel in on the battle she’s been having with her body confidence since welcoming her daughter in January.

Admitting that she opts for outfits that “cover up” her postpartum figure, Molly-Mae said, “For me at the minute, swimsuits are the one, because I don’t have the confidence, but I didn’t really have the confidence for bikinis before I had a baby. Right now with my body I just need anything that’s going to give me confidence because my confidence in my body is getting worse.”

After confessing that she was getting “irritated” at her lack of self-assurance, she added, “On this trip I just thought, ‘I’m going to embrace it, like I really don’t care, I’ve got a new mum bod’. And I am, but as time goes on I’m finding it hard to accept that I’ve got a real journey to start if I want to feel more confident in my body.

“I want to say I’m feeling amazing and confident, but that’s just not how I’m feeling at the moment.”

Before falling pregnant with Bambi last year, Molly-Mae revealed she had under gone a body blitz to overhaul her health in 2021.

At the time she said, “I’m on a really strict diet plan. I’ve been on a journey with my body, finding out what works for my body, what I need for my body to feel good. I’m proud I’ve managed to turn over a new leaf and feel so much better about myself. I literally feel like a new person. I’ve completely flipped my life upside down in terms of everything – exercise, food, water intake.”

At the time, the PrettyLittleThing ambassador revealed she had Coco Pops and a protein shake for breakfast, chicken or falafel with vegetables for lunch, and bacon or Quorn ham with salad for dinner, along with snacking on fruit, nuts and popcorn.

And now a source says that as Molly and Tommy, 24 – who is one of five children – begin to discuss the potential of expanding their family in the future, Molly-Mae is adamant that she wants to feel confident in her body again and has started a new health plan.

The insider says, “Molly’s always said she wants a lot of babies and is keen to have them while she’s young, so while she’s keeping tight-lipped, number two is definitely on the cards for the not-so-distant future.

“She’s been throwing herself into her at-home workouts – getting in the gym whenever Bambi is taking a nap – and really trying to hone her physique so she can be super-toned and retain that muscle when she falls pregnant again.

“In the weeks following Bambi’s birth, she let herself just eat what she wanted and rightly didn’t put any pressure on herself, but now she wants to be fighting fit for her next pregnancy.

“She wants to ensure her body is in optimal shape and health, so she’s following the same meal plan as she did pre and post Love Island.”

And the source says super-fit professional boxer Tommy – who has previously said he’d like four children but will respect whatever Molly decides – is fully behind her.

They add, “Tommy’s a great support to her and they motivate each other to pursue a healthy lifestyle, which Molly finds really helpful.

“He tells her how sexy and beautiful she is all the time, and how great she looks after just having had a baby a few months ago, but of course he also understands that she wants to look and feel her best.

“Molly loves being a mum and while she wants to enjoy quality time with Bambi while she can, she also can’t wait to expand her family with Tommy and have a tribe of mini-mes running around.”
