Love Island’s Messy Mitch aka Mitchel Taylor was involved in some of Love Island 2023’s most memorable moments and plenty of explosive rows, but it turns out he took part in even more arguments than viewers saw on screen.
We wouldn’t have expected anything less, to be fair.
Mitch lifted the lid on some major unaired drama when he appeared on Closer’s Love Island Secrets with Ella Barnes as they opened up about all the behind the scenes goss.
When asked if there was any unaired arguments that should have been shown, Mitch said, “I had an argument that got cut when [Ella B] walked over to me and Abi [Moores] and Abi said that I was walking around the villa winking at her and flirting with her all the time and I didn’t.
“So I stood up and went, ‘I can’t stand this bullsh*t’, and I walked away. I don’t think the editors could find proof so they couldn’t use it, so that argument never happened.”
Ella also did some tea spilling of her own when she added, “There’s a scene of me walking really fast in my wedges towards them when they’re sitting down and it’s been a meme, but I actually got up to to that argument because I heard her say, ‘You’ve been giving me eyes around the villa’, so that’s why I got up and walked like that.
“And then when I sat down, I said, ‘What’s going on? Why are you thinking Mitch has been giving you eyes around the villa?’ and she said, ‘Oh, it was off camera at lunch time’. I think that’s obviously why it got cut, but obviously it didn’t happen.”
Ella and Mitch’s comments come following their showdown with Abi at the reunion, in which Abi claimed her relationship with Mitch was stronger than his romance with Ella B.
Ella then branded her love rival “bitter” and Abi said she’d been “gaslit by a gas engineer”.
Somehow we don’t think these three will be pals any time soon…
