Obviously we know that people go on Love Island to find The One; all those fashion brand deals, social media followers, freebies and fancy events are just an added bonus, okay?
However, it can't hurt to have a few hundred brand deals thrown your way. A cheeky little clothing collab with PrettyLittleThing, a lifetime supply of Hello Fresh, an invite to the premiere of the latest summer blockbuster movie; all in a days work for a former Islander.
It turns out that not only do the contestants find themselves being gifted all kinds of things once they leave, but Love Island 2024 winners Mimii Ngulube and Josh Oyinsan revealed they were able to take some bits and pieces from the villa home too.
And when we say bits and pieces, we mean everything but the kitchen sink.
Chatting exclusively to Closer, Mimii and Josh opened up about their last day on the dating show and it sounds like absolute carnage.
"Oh my gosh, that day when we were packing everyone was...", Mimii began and the fact that she couldn't finish the sentence says it all.
"I saw movement like I've never seen before," Josh joked, "it was like a Christmas Boxing Day sale."
Not the retail flashbacks, we still have PTSD from working Christmas sales on Oxford Street so we definitely don't need that reminder.
"In the toilet there were face masks that were being stolen," Josh went on, "there was serum, everything."
To be fair, if we had the opportunity to pocket some freebies we would be all over them like Joey Essex was with every blonde bombshell.
"Perfume," Mimii added, "lip gloss, and then obviously at the wrap party we were gifted the Google Pixel which was nice because we had a few photos from the villa on there."
We do always wonder what happens to all the hot AF selfies the Islanders taking during their time on the dating show, turns out we will probably see them on Mimii and Josh's social media page in the near future.
