She was dumped from the show
After THAT dramatic Casa Amor recoupling, where Michael Griffiths split up with Amber Gill to be with Joanna Chimonides, Love Island viewers thought there were no going back for Michael and Amber.
Yet, after Joanna was dumped from the Island in a shock twist, last night's episode (18th July) saw Michael confess he still had feelings for Amber.
Check out: the most OMG moments of Love Island 2019
Speaking to Ovie Soko, Curtis Pritchard and Jordan Hames, Michael said: "Now that Joanna has gone, it's given me time to think about things.
"I'm not saying I don't like Joanna, because I do. But I feel like because was she there I actively avoided Amber.
"She [Joanna] was standoffish. It was always me coming to chill with her. That's what I'm thinking now. I realise I do still like Amber... I feel like I need to do myself a favour and let her know."
The show then ended on a cliff hanger with Michael going over to Amber, pulling her for a chat to reveal to her that he still has feelings.
On the outside world Joanna has responded to Michael's comments on her Instagram story. She said: "I've had to pause the TV. For me, being standoffish is me having respect for those in the villa because someone [Amber] is hurting in there."
She added: "In all honesty that was so hard for me to watch and right now I really don’t have any words. It’s so difficult."

Viewers of the hit ITV2 show also responded to Michael's confession, with some saying his revelation is 'coincidental', after Amber was taken on a date by new boy Greg O'Shea.
One user wrote: "Michael’s head has snapped back - run Amber don’t fall for it he’s only interested as they either guy sees how great you are #LoveIsland".
Whilst another tweeted: "Nah Michael realized Joanna wasn't really into him after deep thinking and now he wants amber back. Pathetic."
A third added: "Omg Michael you need to stay single!"
This comes after Amber's mum Vanessa appeared on This Morning and revealed she doesn't think Amber will go back to Michael.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
