Love Island’s Anton Danyluk shocked his fellow Islanders and ITV2 viewers alike in the first week of the latest series when he admitted that he regularly gets his mum to shave his bum.
While some people thought they took their mother and son bond a little too far, Anton’s mum Sherie Ann has now hit back at the criticism in a new interview.
“It's something I do every couple of weeks and it's no big deal in our house,” she told the Daily Record.
“At the end of the day, I used to change his nappies so shaving his bum is nothing. What's the difference in that and taking a bit of hair away from his backside? We are really close and it's the least I can do for him.”

Gym owner Anton, 24, who is currently coupled up with 21-year-old surfer Lucie Donlan in a friendship couple, has been unlucky in love so far in the villa - something that Sherie Ann admits has been difficult to watch.
She said: “In the beginning, when he was getting rejected, I couldn’t bring myself to watch.
“Everyone he has set his heart on so far, like Molly Mae, Arabella and even Elma, has gone away and said they liked someone else. I hate seeing him getting rejected over and over.
“I had tears running down my face when Arabella went off with Danny and he wished them well.”

But when questioned which female Islander would get her seal of approval, Sherie Ann revealed that there’s no one in the villa who she sees her son coupling up with.
“There is no one in the villa at the minute who I would pair with Anton. He definitely hasn’t met the one but maybe one of the new Casa Amor girls might take his breath away. I do hope so,” she added.
With six new female singletons entering the villa this weekend, could Anton's luck be about to change?
