When he rocked up on day one of Love Island 2024, former TOWIE star Joey Essex had everyone gagged.

Whether you were a viewer, one of his very own family members or a Love Island season eleven contestant, we can almost guarantee that not one single person had 'TOWIE's Joey will be on this years series of Love Island' on their 2024 bingo card.

Okay, maybe Joey Essex did.

Some might say it was the best kept secret in reality TV since, well, ever, because in the world of Instagram, Snapchat and AI, how the hell did the face of Joey Essex manage to make it all the way to Spain without being spotted?

During a recent podcast, the bombshell revealed all and it involves a shipping container, a ninja outfit and in classic Joey style – a secret mission.

'I was flown to Mallorca then I was shipped in a shipping container,' he explained and no, you didn't read that incorrectly, those were Joey's exact words when he chatted to Sofia Franklyn on her podcast, Sofia with an F.

'I was thrown on a ship, they flew me to Ibiza,' he explained before adding, 'I was hot and bothered, it was long.'

It sounds like absolute hell if you ask us; Joey already explained that he was dressed in all black and the majority his face and body were covered, so he wouldn't be recognized.

'If one person had seen me, it would have got out,' he admitted.

'We stayed in Ibiza for one night then we got picked up and taken to a ferry place and I jumped on a ship, completely incognito, I looked like a ninja.'

Why do we feel like Joey would have made up his very own theme tune?

'It was a big secret mission,' he added and that one comment all but confirms our theme tune theory.
