Winter Love Island is officially back three years after it first aired, but it seems that not everyone is happy to see the show return.
Jamie Clayton, who appeared on the 2020 series as a bombshell, has spoken out following the release of Channel 4’s Life After Love Island documentary to discuss what it’s really like when you’ve appeared on the UK’s most popular reality show.
Jamie, who has largely stayed out of the spotlight since rising to fame on the sixth series of the ITV2 show, spoke out to insist that the one-off documentary special didn’t provide a fair representation of post villa life.
Sharing a snippet from the show, he wrote, “Agree with the concept of this show but not a single person with lower followers than 185k and she’s been on the most recent series… needs more context and what life is like for everyone who never got the same opportunities follow this show.
“Forever grateful but this is a fraction of what ‘life is like’ so take with a pinch of salt.”
Jamie opened more in another post on his Instagram story, telling his followers, “I’m not trying to dig anyone out either, with the previous. It was just a quick opinion but that’s an absolute fraction of what the majority of people who go on that TV show experience.
“Like Wes Nelson, do we need to know what he’s doing in detail? Nah, he’s absolutely smashed it. Why have a got a show on what life is like after Love Island and using Wes Nelson as that?
“If that show is to highlight what life is like after Love Island, piece of shit.”
Well, he certainly didn’t mince his words…
