It has been just over two weeks since the reincarnation of winter Love Island filled our 9pm TV slot and it truly is the gift that keeps on giving. This is mainly down to the #dramz arriving earlier than anticipated this series (the first week is usually SUCH a bore) and, of course, we are outrageously here for this turbulent first lap.
The majority of this year's drama has come off the back of the arrival of an array of bombshells into the villa and all five of these Islanders have caused explosions in the name of our entertainment – oh, and finding true love (blah, blah, blah).
Okay, maybe not Aaron Waters, we totally forgot about him until this sentence, tbf – maybe if he brought back that Spike from Buffy throwback hair he was sporting on Love Island Australia we'd be more inclined to remember him.
Aaron aside (bless him); Tom Clare has brought the drama (well, the drama sort of orbits his very tall and muscular frame) Zara Deniz Lackenby-Brown has certainly brought the drama, returning Aussie Islander Jessie Wynter has brought the drama, and David Salako – who became the first Islander to be dumped from the villa – is STILL bringing the drama in the outside world.
First he implied Jessie's feelings for farmer Will (we can't keep calling him Will Young, sorry) are not entirely genuine and now he is giving the low-down on the, honestly, brutal process of entering the villa.
When asked how long he isolated before joining the show during a Closer Secrets session, David's response was a surprising one.
"I think I isolated for about twelve days," he confessed.
"Oh wow," Anna-May Robey chimed in, aghast at the lengthy time, seeing as she only isolated "for nine and half, ten days."
"Yeah it was about twelve, thirteen days. I feel, like, after the tenth day I was just like, 'Get me in the villa.'"
Thirteen tedious days of isolation only to be kicked out two days later is low key brutal. We don't blame David for spilling all the goss now he is out of the villa.
If you're behind on the villa antics, you've missed Love Island Australia bombshell of bombshells Jessie boomeranging into the villa, locking her sights directly on Will and Will reacting like an actual child who's just found the final golden ticket (and we're all grandpa). It's somehow both adorable and painful to watch at the same time.
However, according to David, Jessie's intentions may not be as wholesome as her narrative is letting on, and if this is even a bit true, Twitter is going to implode because the fan love for that farmer is an underestimated viral beast.
David recently took to his Instagram Story for a Q&A with his newfound fans. One said, "The drama was unreal so happy that will got picked for the date, hope something good comes for Will."
To which David responded, "Is Jessie being genuine? I'll leave that question for you guys."
Alarm bells and that jingle from the Kill Bill movies are now all going off in our head simultaneously; we have so many thoughts, namely, is David actually on to something?
If this is even slightly true, just think, Jessie – you're not just screwing with farmer Will, you're screwing with the cows, the pigs, the ducks, the chickens and above all, the sheep.
Sadly, David was dumped in the first few days of winter Love Island, meaning we'll never get the chance to see how he'd get on in Casa Amor, what he'd be wearing in the heart rate challenge and what talent he'd showcase in the talent contest; saying that, he has revealed the talent he would NEVER broadcast.
"I can sing, but I will never sing! I just haven’t got the confidence to do it," he admitted. Maybe in real life?
