The Love Island winner has now deleted the post from her Instagram Story however a source has told The Sun that it was Dani who called time on their relationship. They explained: "Dani may have said this was a mutual decision, but that's not the case. She ended it.

"He felt they could have made it work, but she showed a hard side and called time on the relationship."

The news comes as a MASSIVE shock to fans of the pair who probably expected an engagement announcement, rather than a split!

After pairing up on the first episode of Love Island in the summer, Dani and Jack were completely inseparable throughout the series. After confessing their love for each other, viewers of the show voted them the winners ahead of Laura Anderson and Paul Knops, Megan Barton-Hanson and Wes Nelson, and Kaz Crossley and Josh Denzel.

The news comes just days after filming for the Love Island Christmas special took place, with show host Caroline Flack teasing the show last week.

Just last week, Dani and Jack were also announced as the red carpet and backstage correspondents at the 2019 National Television Awards. Dani said at the time: "It has already been such an exciting year for us and to top it off, we’ve been asked to work alongside TV legend Dermot O’Leary at the National Television Awards.

"Last year we were at home on the sofa watching the show so it’s an honour to be involved this year, we can’t wait! Fingers crossed Love Island is in the running on the night too. Bring on 2019!"

It only recently came to light that Dani 'didn't want to film' argument with Jackfor their upcoming TV series.

In other Love Island news, the Christmas special is set to air soon and Rosie Williams reportedly did not attend 'because of Adam Collard'.

Also Georgia Steel and Sam Bird apparently had an explosive row during filming following all those cheating allegations. A source told the publication: "Sam pushed her to own up to her wrongdoings in front of Caroline [Flack] and the other islanders, who’ve all seen the proof for themselves, but nothing could persuade her to tell the 'truth'.

"In the end she tried to get her own back on Sam by saying he made her feel miserable when they were together."
