When we first saw Steve John Shepherd as Michael Moon in EastEnders, we never (and we mean never) thought that we’d swoon over him like we currently are.
From his time in Albert Square to now starring as DI Simon Lees in ITV’s detective drama Karen Pirie, he looks so different and it's safe to say, he has aged very well indeed.
We aren’t the only ones who noticed either because fans on social media have been in a frenzy over his black-to-grey hair transformation.

What happened to Michael Moon in EastEnders?
Alfie Moon’s (Shane Richie) villainous cousin Michael first arrived in Walford in 2010. Along with his criminal activity, which included conning Jean Slater (Gillian Wright), he was also a massive womaniser. He slept with his cousin's wife Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace), had a relationship with Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons), and eventually married Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks).
Janine and Michael had a volatile relationship and were constantly at each other's throats. They had a daughter, Scarlett (Tabitha Bryon) and tried their best to play happy families - though it didn’t work out so well.
Michael's time on our screens came to an end after he manipulated and plotted with Scarlett’s nanny Alice Branning (Jasmyn Banks) to kill Janine after a fierce custody battle. When Alice decided not to go through with it, she told Janine and they both confronted Michael. He attacked them both but after Alice stabbed him, Janine dealt the fatal blow.
Is Michael Moon Tommy's dad?
Yes, he is. Kat revealed to her family that while Alfie was in prison for property fraud, she had an affair. The man was later revealed as Michael.
