What happened to Dawn Swann?
It's safe to say that Dawn was a character, she conned the other residents to pay for her boob job, gave birth to baby Summer (more on that in a sec) and embarked on a number of relationships with some of her neighbours.
What happened with Dawn, Rob and May?
Her most notable relationship involved having an affair Rob Minter (Stuart Laing), falling pregnant with his child and dealing with his obsessive estranged wife May Wright (Amanda Drew).
Things came to a head when Rob and May planned and carried out kidnapping Dawn who was pregnant. May also tried to perform an at-home cesarean to get the baby but Dawn managed to escape.
Her torment didn’t end there as May turned up at the hospital trying to kidnap the baby but the storyline came to a climax when May died in a gas explosion after trying to steal Summer one last time from Dawn’s house.
Who did Dawn Swann marry?
Despite many relationships - including being pursued by her friend Garry Hobbs (Ricky Groves), having an affair with Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) and dating Jase Dyer (Stephen Lord) - Dawn didn’t marry anyone during her time in Albert Square.
It did appear that she would get her happy ever after ever with Jase but after he got involved with Terry Bates' (Nicholas Ball) gang to pay for Dawn's dream wedding, he was stabbed and killed. Dawn found out her fiancé had died on their wedding day.
She later left Walford on a boat with Garry and her daughter Summer.
Is Kara Tointon returning to EastEnders?
It doesn’t look like we’ll see Dawn again any time soon.
In 2022 she told The Sun, "Every year I get asked about it. It’s the thing I’m most known for, that I was most watched in, but I really enjoy doing lots of other things so I can’t see it, no."
What is Kara Tointon doing now?
Since leaving EastEnders in 2009, she's starred in Mr Selfridge, The Keith and Paddy Picture Show and she won Strictly Come Dancing in 2010.
She was most recently featured in an episode of Father Brown.
