What did Kheerat Panesar get up to on the Square?
Kheerat arrived in Walford in 2019 alongside his brother Jags (Amar Adatia) after Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) stole their car.
During his three years in Albert Square he reunited with his sister Ash (Gurlaine Kaur Garcha), stood by his mum Suki's (Balvinder Sopal) side despite the fact that she lied about having cancer, had romances with Chantelle Atkins (Jessica Plummer), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) and Sharon Watts and tried to expose Gray Atkins after he killed Chantelle.
Why did Kheerat Panesar get life in prison?
In 2022, Kheerat was arrested for the murder of Ranveer Gulati (Anil Goutam), after taking the fall for his mum Suki after she killed Ranveer in self-defense when he tried to rape her.
In April 2023 it was revealed that Kheerat had been handed a life sentence off screen.
However, the truth could soon come out as viewers recently saw CCTV of the murder that shows Suki committing the murder and not her son.
Will Kheerat Panesar return to EastEnders?
The EastEnders star Jaz has not spoken about a possible return but with Kheerat still being alive (though we know that doesn’t stop characters from coming back), he could well make an appearance in years to come.
What happened with Kheerat and Stacey?
Stacey and Kheerat had a bit of a turbulent relationship.
The pair have a short fling after he helped her financially keep her stall open in the Square’s market.
Despite all their ups and downs - including Stacey dumping him for not wanting to go public with their relationship - they managed to make it work. However after Kheerat made it clear that he's taking the fall for Ranveer's death, they split for good.
