Pregnancy is supposed to be a beautiful, life-changing period in a woman’s life.

But sometimes carrying a child can bring feelings of anxiety and depression.

For the 1 in 10 women who suffer from mental illness during their pregnancy, the pressure to be ‘glowing’ and ‘happy’ can be overwhelming, making symptoms worse.

Pregnancy charity Tommy’s has put themselves behind a video that aims to raise awareness of mental health problems during pregnancy.

The video hopes to encourage women to talk about their problems, either with their partners, their GP or with their close friends and family.

The campaign hopes to end stigma surrounding mental health issues during pregnancy and help more women recognise the symptoms.
