Millions of people in the UK are prescribed antidepressants every year, but very rarely do we hear people talk about it frankly and honestly.

As more and more people open up about their struggle with depression and the stigma attached the mental illness, not so many people are willing to talk about the help they’ve had to deal with a mental health issue.

But brave blogger and YouTuber Leila Buffery decided to speak to her followers about her own battle with depression and how she found the right treatment.

The Vegan cook and baker speaks about the different types of antidepressants that she tried to combat her feelings of helplessness.

Leila touches on side affects such as weight gain and diminishing sex drive, all things that many women have to cope with when receiving treatment for depression.

Leila’s message is that there is no need to feel embarrassed or ashamed in talking about depression or taking antidepressants and that there is help and advice at hand.
