REVIEW: Escape to the country with a spa break at Congham Hall

One of the things that really sets Congham Hall apart from other spa hotels are its wonderful grounds. The handsome Georgian manor house is set within 30 acres of stunning Norfolk parkland and gardens...

They even have an orchard!

But the crowning glory is their renowned Herb Garden, which features almost 400 different varieties of herbs.

Congham Hall's spa is small but perfectly formed. Comprising of 12 meter pool, a thermal suite (which includes, a sauna, steam room and bio-sauna), experience showers and foot baths, it's got everything you need to unwind.

If the weather's cooperating, you can also sun yourself on the deck or enjoy a sundowner in the outdoor hot tub - serious Instagram goals!

But if you really want to de-stress, you should book yourself in for a spa treatment. We tried The Herb Garden - one of Congham Hall's signature treatments. The 75 minute package includes a deep cleansing facial and intensive back massage, and left us feeling relaxed, revived... and ready for dinner!

Speaking of dinner - you definitely won't be disappointed with the food at Congham Hall. Just look at this Sunday roast. Phwoar!

Or if you have a sweet tooth, you should really treat yourself to one of their indulgent Afternoon Teas.

The kitchen - which holds 2 AA rosettes - uses fresh, locally sourced ingredients, including fruit, veg and herbs taken from their own gardens. You can't get fresher or more local than that!

Not that you'll probably end up spending much time in there (we didn't!), but the rooms at Congham Hall are as comfortable and beautifully decorated as you'd expect. If you really want to go all out, we'd recommend booking one of their Best Garden Rooms, which open out onto their stunning gardens.
