According to health experts, tight-fitting shorts (like hot pants and daisy dukes) could be spelling disaster for our nether regions.

Some women have reported feeling pinching, chaffing and even bruising around their lady garden area due to their high waisted, denim shorts.

Experts recommend wearing cotton underwear with your denim shorts

According to Cosmopolitan, doctors claim that sitting down in tight denim shorts can affect the nerves and even cause vulvodynia, whiz is symptomatic with continuous vulva pain.

Tight clothing can also cause or aggregate thrush and bacterial vaginosis., both conditions that can be easily treated but potentially irritating, uncomfortable and painful.

Doctors recommend trying on shorts and making sure that they fit comfortably and wearing cotton underwear with your daisy dukes.

If you have been wearing shorts that have lead to a pain in your hoo-ha, take a painkiller and run yourself a warm bath to help provide some relief. Also avoid scented bubble baths, sanitary towels or feminine wipes as this could interfere with the delicate balance in your vaginal area.

If you are experiencing persistent pain in your vulva or vaginal area, always consult your GP.
