Forget #TheDress - we’re completely over trying to decide what colour that fugly fashion piece that broke the internet is.

Now it’s all about a new photo, which has left people feeling VERY confused about what they’re supposed to be seeing.

But, while #TheDress was just out to annoy us / make us fall out with our BFFs, this grainy black-and-white shot actually has a purpose.

Because, depending on what you see when you look at it, it can tell you whether you need glasses or not.

Check out the picture below, then comment at the bottom of the article or tweet us over at @CloserOnline to let us know if you see Albert Einstein, or Marilyn Monroe.

Once you've done that, take a look at what your results mean below.

IF YOU SAW ALBERT EINSTEIN:

IF YOU SAW MARILYN MONROE:

The vision test was developed by M.I.T. neuroscientist Aude Olivia, Ph.D, and recently featured in ASAP Science, but it isn’t a new concept. Artists have been using this technique for ages.

And, more craftily, some advertising companies have apparently been using them to conceal information from unintended observers - or to create printed advertising that morphs before your eyes.

This video should explain everything for you:
