Nutritionist and cookery writer is a self-confessed foodie but has gained loyal celeb fans - including Millie Mackintosh - thanks to her clean eating recipes and smart food swaps.

If, like us, you want to shape up for this summer, feel less bloated or just get more energy than follow Madeleine's top tips for eating healthy and getting 'the glow'. Perfect if you want to look trim in a bikini on the beach or slim into that LBD!

Swap pasta for quinoa

Quinoa is great addition to a lunchtime salad and is absolutely packed full of goodness. It’s an amazing seed that contains 9 essential amino acids and is also bursting full of iron, which helps keep our red blood cells healthy, and won’t leave you feeling bloated. Why not try a quinoa, asparagus and pea salad as a great, healthy lunchtime option that’s quick and easy to prepare.

Swap sugary fruit juice for a healthy green smoothie

A green smoothie is a great accompaniment to your lunchtime meal to give you a boost of energy or to have as a mid-morning pick-me-up. When I don’t have time to make one at home, I always reach for a Savse Super Green packed full of superfood ingredients such as kale and spinach. If you're on the go, check out the amazingly delicious smoothies from Savse Smoothies

Swap unhealthy cravings for healthy alternatives

Healthy food doesn’ have to be boring or tasteless. I like to take what are often seen as unhealthy options, but change them up to make them delicious and super healthy. Take the British classic, fish and chips, and use a delicious fish such as lemon sole coated in sesame seeds and sweet potato in place of chips.

Swap morning tea/coffee for energising and immunising boiling water.

  • When you wake up, boil the kettle and drink a large mug of hot water with fresh ginger and turmeric. The turmeric is a great antioxidant and the ginger is amazing for your immune system. This always makes me feel ready for the day ahead!

If you still need that caffeine boost, try a healthy coffee and chia smoothie!
