How to get a toned bikini body WITHOUT sweating

Have you heard about the new workout trend that promises you a toned and taut body WITHOUT all the sweating?

Apparently there’s a new workout which helps you strengthen your muscles and achieve a leaner, more toned body without you leaving the gym soaked in sweat and purple-faced.

It might sound too good to be true, but those who have tried out New York based workout class modelFIT have been left amazed with the results.

ELLE USA writer Natalie Matthews tried out the classes- which are reportedly a favourite with Victoria’s Secret models Karlie Kloss and Alessandra Ambrosio- and found them surprisingly ‘easy’ at first.

She said: “I found many of them were way, way easier than the Barry's Bootcamp and SoulCycle sessions I was used to. I was confused. Do the Karlie Klosses and Candice Swanepoels of the world only have to work out like this to look like THAT?”

Basically, the workouts seemed easier as they used moves which engaged smaller muscle groups. It wasn’t until a couple of days later when Natalie started to feel the effects of the workout.

The instructors tell those taking the class to slow down movements, which feels alien to those used to more dynamic work outs, but the slower movements actually make your muscles work even harder.

Justin Gelband, the trainer behind the workout plan, told Harper’s Bazaar in 2011 that he recommends ditching ‘heavy exercises’ such as lunges, jumps and heavy weights as they ‘add unwanted bulk’. Instead he recommends his own exercises.

His co-founder Vanessa Packer told Natalie that you can leave the classes feeling fresher but still having increased your heart rate and boosted your fitness.

She said that “the slow, controlled, focused moments really get your heart racing.”

Sounds great right? The only thing is that the classes haven’t reached British shores quite yet.

Most of us can’t afford to jet to New York for a workout, so luckily Gelband and the modelFIT pros have uploaded a series of workouts on YouTube to help get your heart rate going and your muscles feeling stronger and leaner.
