Experts reveal why we SHOULDN’T be wearing a bra

We’ve been told for years that wearing a properly fitted bra is crucial for good support - and that it can even prevent sagging, as it leads to less wear and tear on delicate ligaments.

But, as it turns out, that was all wrong.

Yup, results from a 15 year study have now revealed that wearing a bra will NOT prevent your boobs from sagging.

In fact, it might actually increase your risk of sagging boobs as it weakens the muscles that hold up the breasts.

Professor Rouillon, who conducted his research at the University of Besançon in France, measured changes in breast features of hundreds of women over the 15-year trial period.

According to Medical News Today, the report shows that women who never wore bras had nipples on average seven millimeters higher in relation to their shoulders each year than regular bra users.

Speaking on French radio this morning, Professor Rouillon said: "Medically, physiologically, anatomically - breasts gain no benefit from being denied gravity.

“On the contrary, they get saggier with a bra."

However, before you throw your bras away, Professor Rouillon had a few words of caution.

"These are preliminary results,” he stressed to The Local.

“The small sample of 320 young women is not representative of the entire population - that would require something like 300,000 subjects."

He added: “Middle-aged woman, overweight, with 2.4 children? I'm not at all sure she'd benefit from abandoning bras."

Hmm.

We don’t know what to say, to be honest - although we don’t feel like going braless is all that practical.
