What’s on my mind

I heard that Jamelia has made some pretty controversial comments this week about 'plus-size' women's clothing!

I think what she's said is outrageous! I enjoy being slim and healthy now but I wasn't always, and I would not have appreciated someone dictating to me how to live my life or limiting my fashion choices purely based on my size.

I encourage all women to workout and make sensible and healthy decisions but I appreciate that it isn't always easy and there should be options. Remember beauty comes in all shapes and sizes and we should celebrate that.

I wonder if Jamelia would agree that we shouldn't sell clothes less than a size 8 either? It's exactly the same thing and it's not ok in my opinion.

Keeping fit

I've been on the road again with Judge Geordie and this week found me in Stoke on Trent. After my night on the Sherbert on Saturday I was feeling a bit guilty and in desperate need of a few good training sessions and I certainly got that!

I found a fantastic gym called The Cave and the guy who owns it, Adam, gave me a couple of one on one sessions and it was exactly what the doctor ordered. Based on Bootcamp style training with emphasis on a 'caveman' or Paleo principles it was amazing but bloody hard work.

I was lifting sledgehammers, pushing sleds, throwing ropes- tough stuff! But that form of training guaranteed my body was burning fat at a ridiculously high rate all through the day. I recommend any women out there to give that type of training a go. Check out my pictures!

Watching the sugar

This week I thought I'd let my hair down a little, I've been working hard and felt like having a bit of a night out! It was my friend Ross from Ex on The Beach's birthday and he was heading to Cafe de Paris in London for it.

My friends Joss from ‘Ex’ and Jasmine Walia from TOWIE were out too and I didn't want to miss out, but I'm trying to be so conscientious at the moment for my holiday.

Vicky celebrated in style

Alcohol is one of the worst things for you as it has no nutritional value what so ever and depending on what you're choosing to drink, it can sometimes just be like consuming liquid sugar!

I try to stick to either vodka, fresh lime and soda water or gin and slimline tonic. I chose gin on Saturday and was actually really good and didn't deviate after a couple! It's around 60-80kcals per drink that way and I don't feel too guilty about letting my hair down! (Until the next day when my body demands a sausage and egg mcmuffin!)
