TV chef Tom Kerridge has dropped more than SIX stone over the past few years and now he’s almost unrecognisable. An inspiration for anyone who's New Years resolution was to shift a few pounds. In fact, we recommend printing this page out and sticking it on the fridge…

The foodie has just showcased his hard-work with this hilarious picture of him wearing his old trousers. He is literally half the man he once was, though be rest-assured, his personality is oozing more pizazz than his signature blue-cheesed shepherds pie!

JUST Look!

Erm Tom you may need a new pair of waterproofs... just sayin'.

But how did the Gloucestershire-born culinary wizard manage to shed so much weight? Especially when he is whipping up delicious cakes, bakes and milkshakes EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.

If he can do it, so can we. Gulp.

Here are Tom Kerridge's top tips to beating the bulge.

1. Cut out alcohol

Tom revealed how he cut out alcohol about three years ago and has avoided it ever since.

He previously explained, “One of the big problems of being a publican is that you’re surrounded by beer, so I gave up drinking. I’m more or less teetotal now.”

Alcohol, not only can give you a sore head and dreaded 'beer fear', but is also jam-packed with empty calories. One glass of wine has an unsightly 200 calories, which is the same as a small slice of cake! Uh oh. Hands up if you actually stop at one glass... yes, us neither.

Drinking alcoholic beverages also means you're far more likely to reach for unhealthy foods and that kebab on the way home. All big no-no's for looking healthy and toned.

Not only is alcohol your biggest enemy when it comes to losing weight, it can also play havoc with your sleeping pattern, energy levels and skin. Time to say goodbye to the G&T. Or at least until it's next someone's birthday.

2. Find a sport you enjoy!

Good news to those who couldn't think of anything worse (or more boring) than running on a treadmill a few times a week. Even if Beyonce’s Lemonade is playing.

When it comes to exercise, Tom told us how he swims every day to keep himself fit. He’ll often swim for over a mile a day, and has admitted to getting upset if he can’t fit in his daily swim.

He told the Telegraph: “My alarm wakes me up at 6.15 every morning and I go to the swimming pool at a hotel up the road. On a busy day I swim a kilometre, on a relaxed one I’ll do a mile.”

Swimming not only gives your entire body a work out (hello abs!) but is also an activity you can do with the whole family!

If swimming isn't your thing, how about your local volleyball team? Or doing a 'yoga with Adriene' in your room to start your day feeling super-stretched? You could even take up Zumba, which is so fun you won't even realise it's exercise!

3) Cut down on carbs

All of our bodies are different, yet, for Tom he found that cutting down on carbs really helped him shift the weight.

He told Best: “I’ve gone down the route where I eat plenty of protein and not any carbs. I just ignore the potato bit, basically."

Protein makes you feel fuller for longer, meaning you're less likely to reach for a Hobnob straight after teatime! To cut down on carbs and increase protein - we recommend filling up on a grilled breakfast of mushrooms, eggs, tomatoes, baked beans and bacon, instead of sugary cereals. Yum.
