“I’ve always been into health and fitness, and cutting back on portion sizes occasionally or cutting down on carbohydrates is the most I’ve done in the way of diets. I love the philosophy behind ‘clean’ unprocessed eating – I like to know everything that’s gone into my food. I buy organic produce, cook with coconut oil, drink loads of water and usually steam fish and veg. I love Asian flavors- ginger, lemongrass and coconut – so I make lots of clear soups and curries.

Ferne starts the day with a homemade green smoothie, which she makes using almond milk or coconut water with Kale and either a banana or a mango. She says: “If the smoothie isn’t enough to fill me up, I’ll have something like a boiled egg of top of a Ryvita, or scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and I also love porridge topped with blueberries.”

I exercise for an hour four times a week, either running or working out with my personal trainer. I do a lot of weight training to stay toned because I’ve accepted I’ll never be a super skinny girl – I’ve embraced my curves. “I love kettle bell workouts and I do lots of squats, burpees (A dynamic move where you go from press-up position to a squat, then jump In the air) and dead lifts with dumbbells.
