How much do you spend per week?
I order through Deliveroo as it feels like you’re only getting what you need. For the four of us [partner Tom Child, plus her daughters Marnie, nine, and Florence, 13, from a previous relationship], plus my dad is with us, I spend between £250 and £300.
Describe your daily diet…
I never feel like eating in the morning. And if I have breakfast, I’m hungry again at 11am. The exception is if I’m filming and there’s catering on set. For lunch, I have a salad and rice or pasta, plus lots of veg or salad. We all eat our evening meals at different times, whenever we’re hungry. But we all sit down together on a Sunday, either for a roast or my chicken marinated in honey and soy sauce with rice, peas and broccoli.
Do you snack?
I eat a lot of fruit but at least it’s not refined sugar. If I’m on set and low on energy and someone brings round snacks, I’ll have some, but I don’t buy them for the house.
Is there anything you refuse to eat?
The only food I would refuse is tripe. I’ve pretty much tasted everything else!
What would you cook to impress?
Teriyaki salmon with cooked vegetables.
Comfort food?
In winter, shepherd’s pie or spag bol. I’m an over-eater so my portion control isn’t great. I went to the Body Camp in Ibiza a few times and learnt how much you’re supposed to eat.
Verdict
nutritionist Juliette Kellow says, “Not eating breakfast works for some people. The key is to make sure you don’t end up snacking on fatty or sugary foods mid-morning.
“Tamzin’s fridge contains a lot of salty ingredients like anchovies, capers and pesto – herbs, spices, garlic and citrus fruits are good for flavouring food without adding salt.”
