We're absolutely bananas about ice cream (ha!) so when we learned we could whisk up our own version with just two - count 'em, TWO - ingredients, we were basically over the moon.

Even better? This one is delicious AND counts as one of your all-important five-a-day - which makes it a big fat winner in our eyes.

Check it out...

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe Bananas

  • 1 Tbsp Peanut Butter

What did we tell you? ONLY TWO INGREDIENTS!

*Directions

  1. Peel your bananas and slice them into small discs. Easy-peasy so far, right?

  2. Place your banana discs onto a big plate or baking sheet (do NOT layer them, else you'll make life very tricky for yourself later!)

  1. Pop them in the freezer.

  2. Relax for, ooh, say about two hours? You need those 'nanas to freeze!

  3. Once that's all done, head back to the freezer, take your frozen banana pieces over to the blender and… well, and blend them.

TOP TIP: You want your banana mixture to be smooth and creamy - try adding 1 or 2 tbsp of milk if you're having problems.

  1. Next up, get yourself 1 tbsp of peanut butter and pop it in there. Blend again.

  2. Guess what? You're basically done now. You can either serve immediately if you like your ice cream soft, or pop in a deep container and freeze for another few hours.
