Not sure what to get someone for Christmas this year? Why not try pink prosecco cheese...
We know there are a lot of cheese lovers out there, and probably just as many prosecco lovers, so what could be better than pink prosecco cheese?!
That's right, some masterful concoction has been created, combining these two beautiful flavours and we can't wait to get our hands on it.
Unique to The Great British Cheese Company, they created a Wensleydale with sweet raspberry and sharp prosecco. Sounds amazing, right? Whilst the company already has a Christmas cheese, Wensleydale with Cranberries, they say pairing the cheese with prosecco and raspberries gives a similar savoury, sweet and acidic flavour combination.
Unsurprisingly since The Great British Cheese Company announced the new flavour food (and drink) fans have been very excited to get their hands on it with Laurel Alper saying, '2 birds, one stone!! š' and Jan Edwards saying, 'Yes please!'.
Speaking to **Mirror Online ** the company behind this new cheese said, "The prosecco gives the cheese acidity to balance the sweet raspberries.
"Wensleydale with raspberry and prosecco is an invention that began as an extension to our existing cheese range, which includes different alcoholic flavours.
"Prosecco being so fashionable and popular seemed like the perfect choice for our new cheese. Wensleydale is creamy milky, raspberries add sweetness and the acidity from prosecco gives a slight acidity on the palette."
