Love the Hairy Bikers. Wish they were my uncles. But they're not, so I'll make do with their warming recipes instead. Plus, one-pot recipes mean less washing up. WIN.

Everyone's talking about veganism at the moment, and whether you're making a lifestyle choice or just want to try a varied diet, Jack gives you exciting new possibilities that aren't just about nut roasts.
Dishoom: From Bombay with Love, by Shamil Thakrar, Kavi Thakrar, and Naved Nasir, £20.97
If you can't make it to one of the Dishoom restaurants, then recreate their magic in your own kitchen. "From Bombay with love" indeed.
Veg: Easy & Delicious Meals for Everyone, by Jamie Oliver, £13
You've got to give it to Jamie Oliver, he knows how to turn out a cookbook; consistently delicious and achievable recipes on every page, this year focusing just on veggies.
Greenfeast: Autumn, Winter, by Nigel Slater, £12.93
We all know that the best way to cook is with seasonal produce, but it can feel unachievable when you're scouring the shelves at Asda. Nigel Slater gives you plenty of seasonal veg-based recipe ideas - this is the second part in his Greenfeast books, the first version being Spring, Summer.

Fearne Cotton writes cheerfully and honestly, even if she does like a bit of name dropping, but her approach to veganism is positive and full of plant-based ideas and hacks.
