Lorraine Kelly has spoken out about how she shed the pounds without putting herself on a strict diet.
The television presenter has released a fitness DVD called Brand New You and insists people shouldn’t have to cut out the food they enjoy if they want to lose weight.
Lorraine, who has gone from a size 14 to a 10, says her slimmer figure is down to portion control and exercise in the form of aerobics with instructor Maxine Jones.
She said during an appearance on This Morning: “I really look forward to my classes, and with the new DVD we wanted to show what a class was like.
“It’s great going to keep fit but mentally it also makes me feel better… I don’t think (diets) work, it’s all about portion control.
“My husband cooks for me and sometimes I ask ‘how many people are coming round?’ Portion control and not snacking so much are important, as well as being sensible.”
Lorraine also revetailed that she doesn’t own scales as she refuses to weigh herself, but she judges her progress by her appearance and the size of clothes that she wears.
And her smaller size has now given her the confidence to be more daring with her outfit choices.
She said: “I’ve got more confidence from the weight loss and that helps - you can wear whatever you want.”
Sounds like a pretty simple - and pain free - weight loss plan to us!
