How do you do your food shop?
If I know it’s going to be a busy week, I’ll try to schedule a delivery, but if I’m around or it’s school holidays, I quite like popping to the shops with the girls [daughters Ella, eight, and Mia, four] to pick up what we need.
Describe your daily diet...
It varies, but breakfast is usually porridge with berries and lunch is a salad and a protein shake or yoghurt. For dinner I like to do something family-friendly, like spaghetti Bolognese for a quick midweek meal, or chicken fajitas with sliced veggies. If I feel peckish later, I’ll snack on olives or some chocolate.
Anything you refuse to eat or drink?
Orange juice – but I like oranges! Is that weird?
Dinner party dish?
I love tapas-style food so I’d do sizzling garlic prawns to start with, steak and chips with a side salad for main and then, for dessert, I’d serve gooey warm chocolate brownies with a scoop of ice cream.
Favourite tipple?
I love a Strawberry Daiquiri.
Food hangover cure?
I don’t drink that much so I don’t really get hangovers, but my best advice is to get up and get on with it, and have a Diet Coke!
Nutritionist Juliette Kellow says, "It’s great to see Jacqueline eats regularly. She should be able to get all the protein she needs from food rather than relying on shakes. In addition to meat and poultry, fish, eggs, low-fat dairy, beans, lentils, tofu, Quorn, nuts and seeds are all good sources. She could add more variety to her diet by including different fruit and veg."
