How much do you spend?
It really depends on the week. If I’m travelling a lot for work or have a busy schedule, I tend to eat on the go, so my food shop might be lighter. But when I do a proper weekly shop, I would say I spend £75, depending on what I’m stocking up on. Waitrose is usually my go-to supermarket. I love the quality of their produce.
Describe your daily diet…
I'm constantly on the go with work so my eating habits change daily. For breakfast, I usually keep it simple but nutritious – I’m a big fan of granola. For lunch, I love an omelette as it’s super-quick and fills me up nicely. Dinner varies depending on my mood, but you can’t go wrong with a classic spaghetti Bolognese. Chicken tacos are my staple meal when I'm in a hurry.
Anything you refuse to eat?
Kidneys. The taste and texture of offal just doesn’t do it for me. No matter how it’s prepared, it’s a no-go.
Strangest thing you’ve eaten?
I’d have to say Scotch eggs with salad cream. I’m not even sure how that combination came about, but it was really peculiar!
What would you cook to impress guests?
My go-to dish when I want to impress is chicken and chorizo pasta. It’s hearty, delicious and always gets rave reviews. The combination of smoky chorizo, tender chicken and a rich tomato-based sauce is a crowd-pleaser, and I like to top it off with a generous amount of Parmesan.
Hangover cure?
Hair of the dog works like a charm for me! As soon as I start drinking again, I feel fine. I know it’s not for everyone, but a little bit of whatever I was drinking the night before seems to do the trick.
Favourite sweet treat?
Twix! I’m a chocolate girl through and through. I’m not into sweets, but chocolate? Yes! I'm a total sucker for chocolate.
Top takeaway?
Wagamama. Whether I need a pick-me-up or a hangover cure, their ramen never disappoints.
Favourite drink?
Vodka cranberry. It’s my trusty go-to. It’s refreshing, not too sweet and just the right balance for me.
