She was bafflingly cut in the great TOWIE cull of 2021 that saw nine cast mates lose their place on the show. But Ella Rae Wise surprised the cast when they were filming in the Dominican Republic and now she's back in the ITVBe show where she very much belongs.

We chatted to Ella, who in her 'gap year' from the show got close to former Mr Katie Price Kris Boyson in Celebrity Ex on the Beach, about what's in her fridge...

How much do you spend each week?

About £350. I live with my mum and stepdad. Mum cooks all our family meals so between the three of us, we get through a lot of food.

Describe your daily diet…

I always need a cup of tea to start the day but I’m not big on breakfast, maybe just a slice of toast or yoghurt with fruit. For the majority of the time, I have lunch at home so it’s quite healthy, either a tuna salad or a cheese and onion toastie or mackerel with toast. For dinner, Mum will make a chicken and chorizo pasta, a curry or a chilli con carne.

Do you snack?

I love sour cream and chive Snack a Jacks or a bit of chocolate. I also love crackers with houmous.

Is there anything you refuse to eat?

Brussels sprouts. I’ve tried jellied eels and oysters but I don’t like either of them because of the texture.

What would you cook to impress someone?

For a starter, I’d do some garlic bread with camembert cheese. Then I would cook a nice chicken and vegetable stir-fry or maybe a beef and hoisin stir-fry. Sometimes when my friends come over to eat, I do little picky bits, like tapas.

What’s your food hangover cure?

Always a Domino’s pizza. I go for a pepperoni with black olives, and maybe jalapeños if I need a kick up the butt!

Nutritionist Juliette Kellow says, “Ella enjoys fruit and veg, which are packed with antioxidants that help to protect us from disease. Mackerel is loaded with omega-3 fats that are great for our heart, brain and eyes. But she has lots
of salty foods – sauces, bacon, and chorizo are loaded with it – and too much over time can raise blood pressure.”
