How much do you spend per week?

Around £50-£60. That’s quite a lot for one person – it’s the wine! During lockdown, I looked at my bank statements and was shocked at how much I was spending!

Describe your daily diet...

If I have to be on set for 7am, I’ll have a little pot of golden syrup porridge, where you just add hot water. If I’m not at work, I’ll have scrambled eggs, wafer-thin turkey and avocado. For lunch my go-to is a sandwich. I’m trying to steer myself away and have things like protein and veg because I don’t feel as tired and it gets me through the day. One of my favourite dinners is spelt pasta with fish, meat or veg. I also enjoy cod with veg.

What do you snack on?

Crisps are my weakness. I’m trying to swap them for sunflower seeds and nuts.

Is there anything you refuse to eat?

I tried truffle once in Tuscany and didn’t like the smell or taste.

What would you cook to impress?

My chicken lasagne. It’s nothing exotic, but I love it. I add spring onions, mushrooms, Cheddar and garlic as well as chicken.

Food hangover cure?

Ham and mushroom pizza and cola.

Verdict: Nutritionist Juliette Kellow says...

“Eating regularly will help Emma keep up her energy levels. Wholemeal pasta and couscous, brown rice, quinoa and porridge provide a slow, steady supply of energy, so are good choices.

“She has an impressive array of fruit and veg, making it easy to get her five-a-day. She should keep high-fat foods like chocolate, mayo and coleslaw on her occasional list, though.”

Emma has teamed up with UK pet charity, Blue Cross, to launch the third series of The Petcast. Joined by celeb guests, expert vets, and animal behaviourists, they discuss a range of topics on pet welfare and ownership.
