The 5ft 7 warehouse operative from Doncaster told Closer what motivated her to get into shape, and how she did it.
“Before starting theSlim.Fast dietI’d always struggled with my weight.
When I left school and got a job in telesales my weight began to spiral. I was barely getting any exercise and would snack on chocolate, crisps and a litre of full fat coke a day.
By the time I was 19 I was wearing size 20/22 clothes.
I’m an outgoing, bubbly person, so I tried not to let my weight get me down. But inside I was unhappy.
In January 2013 I got the wake-up call I needed. My dad told me he was worried about my weight gain and asked me to weigh myself.
I was horrified when the scales reached 17st 4lbs, and burst into tears. I had no idea I was so big.

Then I came across the Slim.Fast products in the supermarket. The diet appealed to me because I’m so picky with food- I liked the idea of an easy-to-follow plan, and everything tastes really nice!
On a typical day I’d have a shake for breakfast, a Satsuma as a snack, another shake for lunch, a Slim.Fast chocolate bar or pretzels for afternoon snack, and a tasty but balanced meal like chilli beef or fishcakes and beans for dinner.
I was surprised at how much choice there was and I never felt hungry!
I'd soon lost a stone which spurred me to keep going, and over the next year I lost almost 5st, going down to 12st 7lbs.
My lifestyle changed completely and I started running regularly and doing workout DVDs.
Soon I had to buy a whole new wardrobe!
A year on I’ve managed to keep the weight off and I feel so much healthier.
It’s changed my life for the better and I know I’ll never go back to my unhealthy ways.”
