She also suggested a tens machine, writing, “This was amazing for me as a lot my pain was in my back," a hot water bottle/period pain patches for afterwards (“I wish I had taken one of these as I totally forgot about after birth cramping/contractions”) and silver nipple cups, adding, “Again, I had these at home but had but had I taken them to hospital they would have been HEAVENLY on my nips – these were great for healing my nipples in the first few weeks."

Zoella’s fans are loving her regular baby updates after she admitted she took a break from social media after giving birth to focus on her daughter Ottilie.

And after uploading an adorable video of Ottilie’s first smile shared with her dad, Alfie Deyes, Zoë shared a lengthy post with fans about the first few weeks of motherhood.

“One thing I really wanted to do was my favourite walk on a summers evening to look at the alpacas and pick a few conkers so after having a good day yesterday (just generally less pain & a bit more mobility) we jumped in the car and drove as close as we could get so we could do a bit of the walk and make the most of the sun & it was SO GOOD!

She added,“I don’t really know what the point of this post is, I think just to reassure any new mums out there that are in those first throws of post partum and feel like the healing process is a long and frustrating one, you will get to do that thing you want to do & you’re doing a bloody great job. You’ve just done such a huge thing & you should be more gentle with yourself, after all you deserve it! I also want to tell you that with each day that passes, you heal that little bit more ♥️.”

Fans and friends were loving her honesty, with one writing, fellow social media star and mum Victoria Emes writing, “It’s such a rollercoaster! And the pelvic floor out the minge 😂😬 yeah, that takes a while to ease”.

“You are doing such a wonderful job,” said another, “The weak pelvic floor feeling, like your heart might show up in your knickers, is so HARD! ❤️”

“❤️❤️❤️ you’re doing great mama! Thank you for always sharing your experiences with us + for keeping it real 👼🏼”, said a third.
