Zayn, 22, reportedly ended his three year engagement with Perrie Edwards with one message – sent on the night they threw a party in honour of their latest hit Black Magic.
An insider told The Sun: “This was meant to be Perrie’s big night, but it turned into a disaster. Zayn’s timing could not have been worse.”
Perrie, also 22, was joined by band mates Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall for the bash at Steam And Rye.
News of Zayn’s insensitive break-up tactics comes after it was claimed he’s thrown Perrie out of the flat they share.
The couple recently bought a £3 million mansion together – but they never got a chance to move in.
Another source said: “They no longer speak. Zayn’s adamant Perrie has to move her stuff out.
“She’s in America, so her parents will probably have to do it while she’s away.”
Perrie and the girls are currently promoting their new material in the US, and it’s thought she will break her silence over the split during an appearance on James Cordon’s The Late Late Show at the end of the month.
A source added: “She’s already getting her fight back so this could be very feisty.”
