Concerns grew for Zayn after he was pictured hugging a blonde fan at a recent gig. Dropping out of some shows on the One D tour to fly home, it was then confirmed Zayn would not be returning to the band.
Malik seemed noticeably coy when asked about fiancee Perrie Edwards, who has not commented on the pictures showing Zayn cuddled up to another girl.
‘She’s a good girl’ Malik said of his partner. ‘She’s always supportive.'
Heartbreakingly, Zayn also said that he has sacrificed his own happiness for the sake of One Direction fans, but that he couldn't go on any longer.
‘I’m only upset (because) I feel like I may have let them down in some sort of way’ he confessed.
Zayn is now in a recording studio in West London where he is trying out some new material.
