Melissa McCarthy has slimmed down dramatically over the past few months, but rather than plug a brand new fad diet the actress is being refreshingly honest about her approach to healthy eating and weight loss.
Appearing on CBS This Morning, the 44-year-old was candid about her worries when it came to dieting.
Obviously, the comedy actress had to break the actress with a joke when asked how she had shed the pounds.
The hilarious star said deadpan: “Just crying a lot. I’m crying off the pounds.”
She then said: "I feel amazing and I finally said, "Oh, for God sakes, stop worrying about it' and it may be the best thing I've ever done.
"I truly stopped worrying about it. I stopped over-analysing, over-thinking, over-doing anything.”
Melissa continued, describing how she combated her anxiety over her weight and found herself losing the extra pounds with ease.
She explained: “I kinda went back to when I was pregnant and I just stopped constantly being worried about it and I think there's something to kinda loosening up and not being so nervous and rigid about it that, bizarrely, has worked. I could've figured that out before 44, but whatever."
Melissa stars in new comedy film Spy alongside Brit comedienne Miranda Hart and heartthrob Jude Law.
Appearing on the red carpet at the London premiere, it was hard not to notice how healthy and incredible she is looking.
Well done, Melissa!
