X Factor’s Louis Walsh slams James Arthur ‘He’s a competition winner that got lucky’

X Factor judge Louis Walsh has criticized past winner James Arthur for laying into other artists, branding him ‘ungrateful.’

The chirpy telly judge said: ‘He's a competition winner that got lucky. He came from a little bedsit, he should be a lot more grateful and a lot more respectful to everybody.’

‘Nicole worked so hard with him last year - she got him into the final. He doesn't look comfortable in his own skin. He has talent but he's not Bob Dylan.’

Speaking about James Arthur’s fueds with other artists such as fellow X Factor alumni One Direction.‘You can't be slagging off One Direction, you can't slag off success. I think they're good role models and show the pop business is alive and well.’

James was caught up in a twitter frenzy after he made homophobic remarks in a rap. He faced a backlash from fellow X Factor contestant Lucy Spraggan in a twitter fued following the remarks.

James also faced the wrath of Directioners when it was claimed he had exchanged some nasty texts with beloved boyband member Louis Tomlinson.

In an attempt to salvage his image, James apologised for his actions after performing on the X Factor live show.

James has criticised One Direction and other boybands.

James said: ‘It's been an amazing year for me. There's been some amazing highs but also some lows… I've made some very silly mistakes. I want to thank the X Factor for giving me this opportunity.’

He continued: ‘I want to say sorry for abusing my position as an X Factor winner because I owe everything to this thing.’

James has been forced to cancel UK tour dates due to ‘acute exhaustion' and has admitted that he has struggled with fame since winning the X Factor.
