According to reports, the photo (which was taken in 2012) features the 19-year-old posing naked in front of a bathroom mirror.
It’s allegedly caption with: “Here’s my nude, lol. Yolo x x ((sorry if you see this mum)).”
The X Factor hopeful is reportedly ‘mortified’ that the snap could be made public after rumours that it had leaked on social media.
A source told a UK newspaper: “Jake posted the picture several years ago and deleted it shortly afterwards.
“He is mortified that this has now come to light – he is totally committed to making a success of the Stereo Kicks and doesn’t want anything to distract from that.”
Jake and his band mates narrowly avoided being sent home on Sunday’s live results show after they were left in the bottom two alongside singer Chloe Jasmine.
TULISA SHARES SEXY SNAP FROM NEW MUSIC VIDEO
Following an emotional performance by Stereo Kicks, judges Mel B and Simon Cowell chose to support their mentor Louis Walsh and send home Cheryl’s act instead.
After their close call, rumours emerged that the 8-man boy band would be narrowed down to six members, but the boys took to Twitter to address the reports.
Stereo Kicks wrote on their official Twitter account: “Ok, about the ‘8 members to six’ story… This is not true it is completely made it- we are an 8-piece.”
Hopefully their fans will be behind them come this weekend!

Who are the EIGHT members of the new X Factor boy band?
Jake Sims, 19
Jake turned up with his little sister when he sang Stevie Wonder’s ‘Superstition’ to the judging panel. He charmed his way to the arena stages where he gave the judges a rendition of Arctic Monkeys’ When The Sun Goes Down. (Plus he has an adorable Bristol accent!)
Reece Bibby, 15
Reece was nearly turned away by the judges after they became fed up of hearing samey guitar playing audtionees. He impressed them with his unique cover of Disclosure’s ‘Latch’.
Casey Johnson, 19
Essex boy Casey wowed the judges with his room audition (and admitted his hobby was chasing girls!) by blasting out ‘Please Don’t Let Me Go’ by a fellow cheeky chappy, Olly Murs.
Tom Mann, 20
Simon was unsure about instant heartthrob Tom when he told the crowd that they would not have the same reaction if he were ugly. Tom proved Simon wrong with an acoustic rendition of Backstreet Boys’ ‘I Want It That Way’.
Barclay Beales, 18
Barclay previously tried his hand a yodelling but decided to put his 'yodelling talents' aside and try his hand at singing. He sang the judges a cover of Robbie Williams’ ‘Angels’ that left Cheryl grinning and the audience cheering. Simon, however, told Barclay that he felt he would be ‘better off in a group’.
Charlie Jones, 14
Charlie impressed the judges with his own take on The Spice Girls’ ‘Wannabe’ where he changed up the lyrics to congratulate Cheryl on her wedding- what a sweetheart! He’s the baby of the band at just 14-years-old.
James Graham, 17
James made a major faux pas during his room audition when he told dog-lover Simon that he didn’t like animals. Luckily, James was able to impress Simon with his amazing voice.
Chris Leonard, 18
Chris recently packed his bags and moved to London from his native Ireland in an effort to make a go with the X Factor boy band. Though he wasn’t featured in the auditions section of the show, he was added to the boy band after becoming known for song covers he posted on YouTube and Twitter.
