X Factor’s Helen Fulthorpe ‘facing the axe’ after harassment claims

X Factor favourite Helen Fulthorpe is allegedly at the centre of a police probe following reports that she sent an offensive Facebook message to a member of her family.

According to reports, the X Factor contestant claims she was responding to ‘months of abuse’ that has escalated since her X Factor audition.

If police decide to charge the mum-of-two, she may be dropped by the talent show.

Helen, 34, is a firm favourite of judge Simon Cowell’s following her rendition of Otis Redding’s Try A Little Tenderness.

An X Factor source said: “This is a shock to everyone. She was undoubtedly the star of Sunday night’s show and the producers really bigged her up as a wholesome mother.

“Helen claims the family have been harassing her and she was just responding.

“They accused her of posting something pretty terrible on Facebook. They called police and officers thought it was serious enough to bring her in for questioning.”

South Wales Police told The Sun newspaper: “We can confirm we have received an allegation and the investigation is ongoing.”

A spokesman for the talent show then added: “We are aware of an allegation.”
