We last saw Monica Michael on the ITV talent show in 2015 when she came eighth place and now the star has opened up about losing weight. The 26-year-old revealed to Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes that while supporting the boyband Blue on tour she realised she was unhealthy.
"I just done an 18-day-tour and I could really feel how unfit I was on the stage, how unhealthy I was. I felt groggy.
"I couldn't move the way I wanted to move. I remember coming off the stage and going into my dressing room and just crying my eyes out and just thinking I feel disgusting, I don't feel right, I feel unhealthy, I feel out of breath."
She confessed that she was eating excessively and trying fade diets to lose weight at 15 and a half stone (the heaviest she has ever weighed).
The singer and song writer also admitted that she's always battled with her weight: "It's always been a problem of mine. Ever since I was in primary school I was the chubby one and then I went into secondary school and I put on more weight.
"So it was always a demon of mine that I had to battle."
The singer has now confirmed that she's lost a lot of weight thanks to a gastric band in April 2015. She confirmed: "For me that's the best thing that I've ever done."
She also added that she respects her body: "I thought with a gastric band, you need to respect it and what it is, it's an aid to help you lose weight."
The star has now cut out carbs and has decided that she wants to get a little bit of her gastric band taken out so that she can "train hard-core."

Actress Tina Malone has shown Monica her support on Twitter, writing: "You look amazing! Incredible of you to talk about gastric band as you're so young."
