Seann, 22, managed to outshine every other act in his category during the six chair challenge on Sunday night, and he’s admitted he went armed with a weapon – his wrecking ball handbag.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Seann, originally from Australia, said: “They told me it was a battle so I was like, ‘What have I got?’
“So I brought my bag full of lipstick and a little tuna for my protein hit. It was a battle round. I’m from a theatre world; theatrics is amazing so I’m excited if I get to do lives because I’ll be extravagant.”
Seann also discussed the possibility of being seen as a ‘joke’ act, because of his eccentric stage presence – despite his amazing voice.
He continued: “Just from looking at me you’d expect the joke or the novelty. I know I might not be everyone’s cup of tea but just close your eyes and listen to my voice because I’m a singer after all, but I’ve got more to do.”
Although he hasn’t even made it through judges’ houses yet, Seann admitted he’s already incredibly proud of himself.
he added: “You know that standing ovation, when I watch it I always cry because I’m so proud. Like wow, I mean it’s so corny to say but I’ve always followed my gut and my heart to be at this point, rather than my heard.”
The X Factor continues Sunday at 7pm on ITV.
