The TOWIE cast were hit by two shock splits last week when it was revealed that both Frankie Sims and Harry Lee and Bobby Norris and Matt Snape parted ways during filming.
Although Bobby spoke out to confirm he was no longer with Matt, Frankie and Harry are yet to break their silence following reports that they’d called it quits after a series of “blazing rows”.
Now, in an exclusive chat with Closer online, their co-star Ella Wise has confirmed the pair’s “sad” split and revealed exactly what went down.
“It’s really sad – they’re not together anymore,” she told us.
“When we were filming, she didn’t want to make him out to be a bad person and he didn’t want to make her out to be a bad person but I think it was a mutual decision for them to break up.”

Mark and Sam's on/off relationship goes all the way back to when she was 16 and they met on MySpace (aw, those were the days). They briefly dated during their time on TOWIE but were never able to give things a proper go before he quit the show in 2011.

Ella continued, “When you’re in a relationship on the show, you have to try to not let the show affect it.
“Especially this series because we filmed quite far ahead whereas we usually only film a week in advance so scenes that happened ages ago have only just been shown and I think it’s caused them a few arguments.
“They then came to the mutual decision that they shouldn’t be together.”

Despite the relationship woes of her cast mates, it sounds like Ella’s budding romance with Tom McDonnell is going well.
“We’ve got a break from filming for a bit now so I’m going to go around his and we’re going to become each other’s bubble. You have to have a COVID test and then stay with each other for two weeks – that’s our plan,” said the 20-year-old.
She joked, “It’s so ridiculous. I can’t believe that’s what I’ve got to do to be able to touch his head.”
Well, we’re glad to see at least one Essex couple is still going strong.
