The 21-year-old was taken to hospital on Saturday, less than two weeks before the third anniversary of Whitney’s shock death in strikingly similar circumstances. Her father Bobby Brown is said to be by her side.

While a post-mortem confirmed Whitney drowned as a result of cocaine use and heart disease, Bobbi Kristina’s family have claimed she doesn’t take drugs.

Speaking to E! News, her cousin YK Kennedy said: “Krissi does’t do drugs. She hasn’t been drinking or doing drugs and she’s cut down on cigarettes.

“She’s been trying to get her music together and keep her voice clean. Her voice is beautiful.”

Bobbi Kristina is said to have been placed ‘in a medically induced coma for swelling of the brain’ and is breathing via a ventilator.

While her family insist she was just getting her life back together after losing her mother, other sources claim she wasn’t coping as well as some thought.

Lisa Holland of the Roswell Police Department said: “Obviously we all know her mom died this very same way.

“We don’t know if this was a medical condition where she had a problem in the tub or if it was any type of self-initiated or overdose type of situation.”
