Dee Kelly, who rose to fame on documentary series Benefits Street, took to her Twitter page this morning to announce to her 30,000 followers that she will be hitting the small screen again.

‘OMG - news just in - my new doc WHITE DEE - WHATS ALLTHE FUSS ABOUT has been given a prime time slot - ch5 January 1st 9.30pm bloody nora [sic].’

Many of the down-to-earth star’s fans took to social media to congratulate Dee, who has become popular with the British public for her straight-talking ways.

Mum-of-two Dee first hit headlines after starring on Channel 4 documentary Benefits Street, where she revealed she couldn’t work because she suffered with severe depression.

She apparently has plans to bring out a fitness DVD before Christmas too.
