But sources reveal Kerry Katona is panicking over the lack of proposal from boyfriend George Kay – and is worried he’s got cold feet over committing to her.
'She knows he'll do something big and romantic, but wishes he'd get on with it!'
A pal says: “Kerry’s mad about George, but is getting frustrated that nothing’s happened. She knows he’ll do something big and romantic, but wishes he’d get on with it! It has her worried he’s got cold feet, although he assures her he loves her and it’ll be soon. It’s clear he adores her.”
The pair – who met at school 18 years ago but only got together in August – regularly declare their love publicly, with George recently Tweeting: “You make me so happy baby! #togetherforever.”
Closer reported in February that George, 33 – who was released from jail last year after serving six years for blackmail – told Kerry’s mum Sue and pals he had bought a ring and was considering proposing at the Big Reunion live gig that month.
After that failed to happen, he was expected to pop the question during their first holiday together in Dubai in March – but that proposal also failed to materialise.
A pal says: “Because George keeps pushing back the intended dates of popping the question, Kerry feels like it will never happen. In the run up to Easter there was no suggestion it would happen then, but we know that George really wants to surprise her – so although nothing was said, Kerry has been holding out hope.”
Speaking in December, Kerry said: “I would get married again because I don’t want to die alone.” And, during a recent interview on This Morning, the reality star said: “I’m not engaged, I’m not getting married... not yet. But I do definitely think that this is The One.”
Mum-of-four Kerry, 32, was previously married to Westlife’s Brian McFadden – dad to Molly, 11, and Lilly-Sue, 10 – and cabbie Mark Croft, dad to Heidi, six, and Max, four.
'George has given her no reason to think he doesn't want to settle down and she knows they're meant to be together'
Now pals say the star is “embarrassed” that there’s been public talk of an engagement that has yet to happen.
A source says: “George has given her no reason to think he doesn’t want to settle down and she knows they’re meant to be together, but she’s embarrassed everyone knows. She’s worried that George doesn’t want to marry her.
“Kerry’s aware the ring is locked up in the safe in their house. She just doesn’t understand why George hasn’t proposed yet.
“He told her mum it’d be at the Big Reunion gig because both their families were there, but he didn’t do it. Then it didn’t happen in Dubai either and she even thought he might do it after her appearance on Saturday Night Takeaway last week. Kerry feels like she’s on edge, waiting.”
To add to her stresses, pals say she’s been in tears over a YouTube video spoof that’s been viewed almost 60,000 times, poking fun at Atomic Kitten’s reunion and making cruel jibes over Kerry’s past issues with drug use.
