We all fell in love with Tom Daley back in 2012 when he dived into our lives as the cutest button about, making the nation proud with his super sporty skills.

But the 22-year-old has now opens up further about his skill set, making a surprising confession to fans about his in-water action.

That's right, Tom Daley has admitted that he can't actually swim. Eek!

Obviously being the ambitious go-getter he is, Tom has clearly let his lack of swimming skills stop him in his tracks.

Daley - who is currently partnering up with Volvic Touch of Fruit, to ask the nation to make a confession, and/or reveal what it is that makes them proud to be special - took to Facebook to upload a video of his own.

He said:

"You might also presume that I love the swimming pool, I spend most of my time in or under the water, so it's a fair assumption. But here's my revelation...

"I'm a terrible swimmer. That's right, even though I've been diving for 15 years, I still think it's absolutely miraculous that people can stay on top of the water for 50 metre lengths in a pool, let alone people that swim the Channel!

"So if you see me in a swimming pool - instead of a diving pool - I'll probably be struggling. "

Tom is no stranger to making video confessions, as he previously used the platform to open up about his sexuality to fans.

And like the videos before this that inspires fans to open up and express themselves, this new clip from the dishy diver aims to inspire others to get involved and have the confidence to express any little secrets they've been hiding.

Tom Hickton, Volvic marketing manager, commented: "We're thrilled that Tom has come on board to help motivate the nation. We hope that by Tom revealing his inner truth, the greater public will feel inspired to join us in celebrating what makes each of us special and unique."
