Although Britney Spears’ little sister doesn’t appear to touch anything in the video that surfaced on TMZ she was merely trying to save her friend from being attacked.
In a video Jamie Lynn had stopped for some food at the Pita Pit in Hammond, Louisiana, when it was reported her friend was hit with a bottle.
Jamie reportedly pulled her friend to safety behind the counter, before brandishing a "long serrated bread knife" to ward off the attacker.
She can be seen in the video holding it in front of her but not touching anyone.
Police were called but no-one was arrested, the site reports, because Jamie's pal didn't want to press charges.
The star got married to businessman Jamie Watson earlier this year, having taken a break from the spotlight to raise her daughter.
She released her first country music album The Journey just months later, following in her older sister's footsteps and paving a career in music.
