During an appearance on an Australian radio show, Emma was left disappointed that Mel B was unable to make it.
When told that Mel sometimes co-hosts the show, the Easy A actress said: “Mel B could’ve been here? I’m gonna cry!”
But all was not lost as Mel B had pre-recorded a video message for Emma, prompting her to gush: “Oh my god, is Mel B talking to me? I’m legitimately crying, I’m the biggest Spice Girls fan ever.”
Back in 2012, Emma revealed in an interview that Baby Spice Emma Bunton had always been her favourite.
It seems that Mel had read the interview as she demanded she sing a Spice Girls song for not picking Scary as her favourite.
Playing along with the joke, Emma sang a verse of the group’s mega hit Wannabe, before shouting out: “I’m crying…I love Mel B!”
Emma was doing the interview to promote her latest film, The Amazing Spider-man 2, in which she plays the girlfriend of Spider-Man, who is ironically played by her real-life boyfriend Andrew Garfield.
